European Youth Ultimate Championships (EYUC) 2015 - Results

From August 3rd to 8th the European Ultimate Champions under 17 and under 20 were held in Frankfurt a.M., Germany.

While teams from the hosting nation Germany became European Ultimate Champions in both open divisions (u20 & u17) the ladies´ titles were awarded to Austria (Women U20) and the Netherlands (Girls U17).

While on Sunday 2nd of August 2015 the IOC at its 128th session granted the full recognition to WFDF, in Copenhagen the European Ultimate Championship 2015 came to a successful end.

Winning 2 gold (Mixed & Open) and 2 bronze medals Great Britain became the most successful nation 2015. Also Finland (Women), Denkmark (Open Masters) and Germany (Women's Masters) came off victorious.

The European Flying Disc Federation (EFDF) is pleased to announce that its institutional and founding assembly as the Continental Association of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) for Europe was held on Wednesday, 23 July 2014, in the city of Lecco, Lombardy, Italy, on the occasion of the 2014 WFDF World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC).

The World Flying Disc Federation is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed new members to its WFDF Sport for All and Development Commission as well as its Entourage Commission. The appointments came after a decision by the board to expand the scope of WFDF’s development projects using the grants offered by WFDF to members and Flying Disc groups, and to bolster the resources of the entourage work being done by WFDF. The World Flying Disc Federation (“WFDF”) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved seven new members of the Disc Golf Committee to work together with WFDF Disc Golf Committee chair and Board member Charlie Mead (GBR).  The appointments come as result as an extensive search conducted by WFDF to find suitable members for the Committee to organize and promote Disc Golf across the globe.

The World Flying Disc Federation is pleased to present its call for development grants applications for 2017.  In 2017 a total of US$ 24,000 has been budgeted for development projects including the WFDF coaching clinics and other projects.  The individual disc community grants program constitutes approximately 25% of the development budget, with individual grants limited to no more than US$1,500 each. WFDF also plans to expand this year its disc missionary program, providing discs to travelers to areas with limited disc activity.  The deadline for the submission of grant applications 23 April 2017 with the first disbursements expected in June...

Today the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) released its updated list for 2016 of average Spirit of the Game scores by country. Intended to accompany the recently updated WFDF World Ultimate Rankings, this list takes into account scores received by all teams attending recent WFDF World Championships and Continental Championships for Ultimate over the past three years, including the Spirit scores from the 2016 World Ultimate and Guts Championships in London and World Junior Ultimate Championships in Wroclaw.
